IceBreaker Review And POV
A New Premiere Rides, Multi-Launch Coaster at SeaWorld Orlando
1 MIN READ
Is IceBreaker the latest greatest coaster? No. But it is exactly what SeaWorld Orlando needs right now. IceBreaker is the perfect “stepping stone” coaster, and that’s exactly what SeaWorld intended it to be. It’s a ride that opens the door to bigger and faster rides without the intimidation that come with some of the larger B&M coasters.
“Ice Breaker features four airtime filled launches, both backwards and forwards, culminating in a reverse launch into the steepest beyond vertical drop in Florida - a 93 feet tall spike with 100 degree angle. The thrills continue as riders fly over a near vertical tophat maneuver into a series of exciting twists, turns, and airtime hills.”
In the video above, we dive into our initial impressions of the ride, and some of its flaws. IceBreaker is a great, short ride that’s filled with airtime and unique elements. This is a coaster that is genuinely a different experience in the front than the back. The front is less forceful with more hang time, where the back pulls you through the hills and turns, which gives you an experience filled with ejector airtime. For someone who’s looking for a next step in working their way up to the bigger coasters, we highly recommend the front. However, if you’re someone who enjoys a more thrilling coaster, the back row is definitely for you.
