Poseidon's Fury Finally Reopens at Universal’s Islands of Adventure!

READ TIME: 1 MIN

You never know how much you love something until it’s gone. That’s definitely the case for Poseidon's Fury at Universal’s Islands of Adventure. For years people have speculated about its closure, and have even begged for it. However, as soon as work walls went up around the opening-day attraction, a loud cry filled the internet with people’s concerns about their potential loss of the iconic, pulp, fan favorite experience. However, after being closed for 19 months, with an unexpected twist from Universal (and with no announcement either) today, March 14, 2022, Poseidon's Fury has officially reopened to guests!

As of right now, it’s unclear what all has been changed. Insiders have said that every single piece of lighting and technical props have been touched up or replaced. This makes me assume that we’ll also see new graphics for the end fight scene in the big show room. However, it’s too early to tell. I have plans to visit the attraction tomorrow, so return to this news post later for more details on what’s updated!

Jonathan Holt grew up in Central Florida and fell in love with the Theme Parks and creative culture of Orlando at a young age.

“Some of my earliest childhood memories are filled with trips to Disney and Universal with my family. The way the parks transported me to another world where it was okay to laugh and scream directly impacted the way I saw the world growing up. As an adult now, the parks still hold a very special place in my heart. The parks that we love, hold so much magic that they remind us what it’s like to be a kid again. My dream is to build a community that is able to have child-like joy together while talking about and experiencing the parks.”
