The Strangest Kids Coaster EVER - Is it Coming to Busch Gardens Tampa? - RMC Wild Moose
Rocky Mountain Construction, or RMC for short, just announced a brand new coaster model! RMC is known for some of the world’s best and most innovative coasters! Their conversions of classic, but deteriorating wooden coasters into state-of-the-art, thrill inducing hybrid coasters with their iconic I-Box track style , set them on the map as a major player in the coaster wars.
RMC's Coaster Legends - A New Family-Focused Approach
Rocky Mountain Construction is the manufacturer of coasters such as Iron Gwazi at Busch Gardens Tampa, Steele Vengeance at Cedar Point, Lightning Rod at Dollywood and Outlaw Run at Silverdollar City, just to name a few.
However, with a company known for their top thrills, they’ve recently expanded their portfolio to include models of coasters that are suitable for a larger range of riders, specifically younger children. This smart business move is responsible for the addition of their Family I-box Coaster model that is currently being built at several parks around the world.
The Wild Moose Coaster: RMC's Latest Thrill Machine
Introducing the newest addition to the acclaimed RMC lineup — The Wild Moose! Yes, you read that correctly, The Wild Moose. RMC is setting its sights on the classic Wild Mouse coasters of past and offering a highly compact family coaster that will fit in the same spot as an older Wild Mouse would, but this coaster will pack modern thrills and a smooth ride. This is what Rocky Mountain Construction had to say about their new product:
Where is The Wild Moose Coaster Being Built?
At the time of announcement, RMC has not publicly confirmed any builds for this coaster model. However, with the recent closure of Sand Serpent at Busch Gardens Tampa, a wild mouse style coaster manufactured by Mack Rides, and the park’s recent involvement with RMC in the remodel of Gwazi, it wouldn’t be a surprise to hear about the development of the first Wild Moose coaster at Busch Gardens Tampa. With the announcement of Sand Serpent’s closure Busch Gardens said it’s “being permanently retired to make way for an exciting new addition.”
Is Busch Gardens Getting a Wild Moose RMC Coaster?
With the SeaWorld company, the owners of Busch Gardens, being so bullish in recent years to expand the coaster portfolio of their parks and become the coaster capitals of their states, this move would make sense. SeaWorld Orlando recently opened the world’s first Surf Coaster named Pipeline earlier this year. Pipeline is a prototype for B&M, another large coaster manufacturer. SeaWorld has made it clear that they’re interested in adding “world’s first” attractions to their park, and this might be a great opportunity for them.
