The Hotels of Epic Universe

We’re continuing our deep dive into everything that Epic Universe will have to offer when it opens in Summer 2025! Epic Universe isn’t just another theme park that’s expanding the portfolio of Universal’s parks in Orlando; it's a complete resort destination in-and-of itself.

Epic Universe is going to be a game-changing resort. Not just because of its immersive and groundbreaking storytelling and theme of Celestial Park, or lands like How to Train Your Dragon - Isle of Berk, but because of its truly unique and diverse on-site hotels. Epic Universe will open with three brand new hotels that create an environment for the park that you won’t have to step outside of. Two of the three hotels will be relatively budget friendly, where the third, and most exciting hotel, will be a full luxury, highly themed living experience. All three are designed by Universal Creative, which has an extensive award-winning portfolio of themed resorts. And all three hotels are also operated by the world-renowned Loews Hotels & Co that also operate the other world-class hotels on Universal Orlando property. Let’s see what all these resort hotels will have to offer.

Universal Helios Grand

The Universal Helios Grand hotel is by far the most exciting addition, and it will compete to take the reign of the most luxury resort on Universal Orlando property. Not only is this a stunning hotel that offers insane views of the brand-new park, but it's also a full extension of the park. Helios Grand will flow seamlessly into the park’s central hub, also known as Celestial Park. To learn more about Celestial Park’s immersive theme, attractions, dining experiences and more, check out our article that breaks down everything you need to know about the land. However, Helios Grand isn’t separate from the land and its theming, but it's a part of it. Helios Grand will have its own dedicated entrance into the park as it’s located directly at the back of the park near the main lagoon area where there will be stunning nighttime spectaculars at the end of every day.

Universal Helios Grand Hotel hasn’t yet started accepting bookings, so we don’t know exactly how much the resort will cost, but Universal has given us a few details officially about the resort. Helios Grand is designed to transport guests to “a world where the heavens and earth unite”. This resort will have 500 rooms, a dedicated entrance to Epic Universe, and will offer special views of the nighttime fireworks and lagoon show. Beyond that, the rest of what we know is just speculation.

Atop the tallest floor of the resort will be a rooftop restaurant and bar. This will operate throughout the day and extend past theme park hours, but most importantly, will offer the best views of the fireworks that will ignite overhead of the stain-glass dome that covers the restaurant. The resort is also expected to have another full-service restaurant located inside the hotel, a quick-service location, as well as its own merchandise store. Be sure to follow us for more information on this resort as Universal Orlando officially announces it.

Universal Stella Nova & Terra Luna Resorts

Located just outside the front of Universal Epic Universe, Universal Stella Nova and Terra Luna Resort are the two more budget-friendly resort options on this side of the Orlando resort. Stella Nova will officially open on January 21, 2025, and Terra Luna one month later on February 25, 2025, ahead of Epic Universe’s summer opening date. These two resorts will be themed very modern with a galactic spin. Built very similarly to the Endless Summer Resorts right outside of the original resort property, Stella Nova and Terra Luna are expected to have very similar amenities. However, they will be far from low quality. These resorts still offer luxury sleeping accommodations, multiple entertainment amenities, and various cosmic themed dining and cocktail locations throughout both resorts.

Universal Stella Nova and Terra Luna Resorts will have a combined total of 1,500 rooms available to guests at a starting rate of $147 per night. These resorts, while located next to Epic Universe, will also have direct bus transportation to the original resort area featuring CityWalk, Universal Studios Florida, and Islands of Adventure to allow you to experience everything that Universal Orlando Resort has to offer.

Each hotel also features a nearly 10,000 square foot pool with a hot tub, plus lounge and table-top seating in the pool area. One thing that’s quickly becoming a staple of any Universal resort is the inclusion of a firepit. Sapphire Falls, Cabana Bay, and many other resorts include a secluded, quiet area where you can sit next to the warm fire and enjoy the relaxation of the resort.

But the recreation doesn’t end there! Each resort will also have poolside movies and outdoor games, along with a fitness center where guests can take advantage of complimentary, state-of-the-art fitness equipment and locker rooms with showers available for use on arrival and departure days. One hack is that these showers are available the day of your checkout as well, so if you want to use the pool area and relax after your check out, you can get cleaned up afterwards in the fitness center before leaving!

But no hotel would be complete without a Universal Orlando Resort Store where you can purchase everything from sundries and necessities to Universal Orlando merchandise to commemorate your vacation.

Jonathan Holt

Jonathan Holt grew up in Central Florida and fell in love with the Theme Parks and creative culture of Orlando at a young age.

“Some of my earliest childhood memories are filled with trips to Disney and Universal with my family. The way the parks transported me to another world where it was okay to laugh and scream directly impacted the way I saw the world growing up. As an adult now, the parks still hold a very special place in my heart. The parks that we love, hold so much magic that they remind us what it’s like to be a kid again. My dream is to build a community that is able to have child-like joy together while talking about and experiencing the parks.”
