Taking almost twice as long to build as the entirety of EPCOT, Tron Lightcycle / Run is a project that is clearly very anticipated by fans in-part due to its overly lengthy development time. However, the long awaited attraction now has an official opening date!

The heartbeat of the Magic Kingdom has returned after a four year closure! The Walt Disney World Railroad closed on December 18, 2018 to make way for the groundbreaking of the Tron Lightcycle / Run roller coaster that’s set to open in March of 2023. Since its closure, the park has felt like a piece of its heart has been missing. The sound of the train’s horn echoing throughout the park, and the kinetics of seeing the iconic steam engine filled with passengers pass by some of our favorite attractions left the Magic Kingdom feeling just a little bit less magical, and a whole lot less nostalgic. However, as of December 23, 2022, the Walt Disney World Railroad has finally returned!

Tron Lightcycle / Run was originally announced for the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World back in July of 2017 at D23 in Anaheim, California. Since its announcement, the ride has had a long journey of ups and downs. However, with the park quickly approaching the end of its 50th anniversary celebrations, many fans are left wondering if Disney will keep their word of opening the attraction sometime during the 18 month long event.

One of, if not the, most legendary fireworks viewing spots in Walt Disney World is about to reopen just in time for Enchantment’s twice a night viewing schedule! Top of the World Lounge is restaurant and bar that sits on top of Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. The resort is located right next door to the world’s most popular theme park, Magic Kingdom, and provides a jaw dropping viewing experience of the park’s nightly fireworks show.

Walt Disney World has officially updated their upcoming schedule for Enchantment at the Magic Kingdom to be shown twice a day! Starting July 14th to the 24th the nighttime fireworks spectacular will display twice.

After being closed for nearly 24 months, Walt Disney World finally saw the return of the beloved parade, Festival of Fantasy on March 9, 2022! However, with all the excitement, joy, and nostalgia we felt as we stood on Main Street USA to watch the long lost parade once again we have to ask the question: should Disney have even brought back Festival of Fantasy at all?

The future of daytime street entertainment at the Magic Kingdom is bright, and I brought my shades to celebrate! Not only has Mickey's Magical Friendship Faire stage show returned at the Cinderella Castle, but they’ve also added a brand NEW cavalcade that features thirty beloved Disney characters called Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade! And now, after being away for nearly 24 months exactly, Festival of Fantasy finally returns!
